Dr Abram Abdelsayed is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with a special interest in skin cancer medicine, dermoscopy, and minor procedural skin surgery.

Abram graduated from Cairo University School of Medicine in 2013 before completing two years of surgical training. He moved to Australia in 2016 and went on to work at Townsville University Hospital as both a Resident Medical Officer and Registrar, gaining broad clinical experience across emergency medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, geriatrics, endocrinology, cardiology, mental health, and palliative care.

He completed his specialist GP training through James Cook University and was awarded Fellowship of the RACGP in 2024.

Having lived and practised in North Queensland — a region with one of the highest rates of skin cancer in Australia — Abram developed extensive experience in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of skin cancer. This high-volume clinical exposure strengthened his expertise in dermoscopy, skin lesion assessment, biopsy techniques, and minor skin procedures.

Abram has undertaken additional training through the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA), completing Certificates in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery. He also holds a Certificate in Advanced Surgical Skills from James Cook University.

Now based in Melbourne, Abram is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centred care with a strong focus on preventive health, general medicine, and skin cancer spot checks. His clinical interests include men’s health, chronic disease management, paediatrics, skin lesion assessment, dermoscopy, minor procedures, and advanced skin procedures.

He is committed to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice to ensure high-quality care for his patients.

Until September, patients aged 65 years and over with eligible pension cards are bulk billed for skin checks.
